Chocolate Seafoam

2 c light brown sugar, packed
3/4 c cold water
1/2 c Hershey’s chocolate flavored syrup
2 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla
1 sq Hershey’s baking chocolate, melted
1/2 c nutmeats

Mix together sugar, water and chocolate syrup in a heavy saucepan (3qt)
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, till sugar dissolves and mixture boils
Then cook to hard ball stage 250F
Without stirring
Remove pan from heat
Immediately beat egg whites till stiff
Pour hot syrup in a thin stream over beaten egg whites, beating constantly at high speed
Continue beating till mixture forms peaks when dropped from spoon, about 10 minutes
Quickly stir in vanilla and melted baking chocolate by hand
Blend in nutmeats
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper
Cool
