Tortellini in Creamy Sauce




2/3 lb tortellini

Water

Salt

1-1/4 cups whipping cream

1/3 tsp ground black pepper

Dash grated nutmeg

1 clove garlic, minced, optional

1 pkg (6oz) frozen peas, lightly thawed



In a large pot, cook tortellini in salted water according to pkg instructions

Pasta should be cooked "al Dente" firm to the bite



Drain pasta well in a colander



In a pan, heat cream, black pepper and nutmeg

Add minced garlic, if used, and a little salt to taste

Add more seasonings

If needed

Add tortellini

Heat, stirring carefully, for 1 to 2 minutes



Add peas

Serve pasta in hot soup bowls or on warmed plates.
